Jim James

Jim James (born April 27, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American vocalist, guitarist, producer, and the primary songwriter of the acclaimed rock band My Morning Jacket, which he has fronted since the early 1990s. Beyond My Morning Jacket, he has released multiple solo albums under his own name and the alias Yim Yames, and has collaborated with supergroups such as Monsters of Folk and The New Basement Tapes. He is widely regarded as one of rock's most distinctive and versatile voices, drawing on influences ranging from psychedelic rock to indie and jam rock.
