Bobby Martin

Bobby Martin is a Raleigh, NC-based entrepreneur, angel investor and keynote speaker who co-founded industry-intelligence provider Vertical IQ in 2010-11 and serves as its CEO/chairman, and who is also founder and CEO of Tilly, Inc. (asktilly.com), a virtual, fee-only fiduciary financial planning firm. He got his start in 1998-99 co-founding First Research, a sales/industry intelligence platform sold to Dun & Bradstreet in 2007 for $26 million, after more than six years as a commercial banker with Bank of America in Wilmington, NC. He wrote the 800-CEO-Read bestseller "The Hockey Stick Principles: The 4 Key Stages to Entrepreneurial Success" (Flatiron Books, 2016), speaks nationally on startup growth, and advises and invests in North Carolina startups.
